This year it hosted the MTV Europe Music Awards. The O2 (formerly Carling) Academy is another great venue for a night out with your friends to watch live gigs from Travis to more local bands, however if music and gigs are not for you then Liverpool is also known for performing arts and comedy. Ballets, Dramas, and Musicals can all be seen at Liverpool Playhouse, Liverpool Empire and also the Philharmonic Hall. For comedy; Rawhide Comedy Club is also another great night out, especially for YOU as there are cheaper nights for students within the weekdays.
